The 5th Avenue Pavilion – an Asbury Park boardwalk iconic structure with concrete spiral ramp, serrated roof line, and beloved bandstand – sat empty and decaying. The design to bring it back to life restores its original architectural integrity, respects its iconic features, and makes appropriate, sensitive alterations. The first floor retail space opens to the both the boardwalk and the street. The reconstructed signature ramp carries patrons to the second floor restaurant and entertainment venue where the original bandstand clearly shapes the new design and functionality. The expanded restaurant space overlooks the stage and offers both indoor and outdoor dining.
